Above All

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
3 John 1:2

At times in our life, it is difficult to know what God's will is for our life. Finding God's will is a continuous activity that will be a part of our life until we go to heaven. But one thing is certain, that God came to give us life and to give it more abundantly—life to the fullest. That means to have more then enough, to lack nothing. He did not send His only Son just to save us from our sins, but that we would live life to its maximum potential in God. This is the purpose of God.

The word "prosper," can mean, "to succeed in reaching." God says if you will reach for it, I will slap success on it. Everything you go after in God, He desires that you obtain it. If it is ministry, your marriage, your children, your finances, your healing, God declared that He would slap success on it.

Above all means just that—all. When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt (the land of not enough), He took them through the wilderness (the land of just enough), but then into Canaan (the land of more than enough). God wants to give you above all, more than enough peace, prosperity, faith, and joy, not living week by week or paycheck to paycheck. No, it is time for above all—more than enough living.

"When God says above all, it is more than enough."
