Challenge Life

"And [the daughters of Zelophehad] stood before Moses,…saying, Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father."
Numbers 27:2–4

What do you do when something in life tries to rob you of what is rightfully yours?

The five daughters of Zelophehad faced gender discrimination regarding their family inheritance in the “promised” land and refused to sit back and accept “wrongs” as part of their destiny. They were willing to challenge!
Many people today are so passive that they do not seek out the power they need to press through the obstacles of life. The enemy wreaks havoc in their lives because they refuse to stand up and say, “Enough is enough!”
Passive people do not win in life.
Some people expect that after they become Christians, everything will fall out of heaven into their laps. That isn’t what the Word of God says. Joshua 1:8 tells us that we become prosperous and successful when we speak God’s Word, meditate on it day and night, and keep and observe it. It takes effort to speak, effort to read and study and meditate on God’s Word, and effort to do the Word every day, day in and day out. You have to go for what God says.
When it comes to things that pertain to our destiny, our rightful inheritance before the Lord, or to our spouse or our children or our health, we need to challenge the possibilities for our lives. God’s Word says, “For a dream cometh through the multitude of business” (Ecclesiastes 5:3). Dreams come to pass when we work our dreams and our potential. It’s human nature not to want to work hard at something or to challenge the status quo. It takes effort to get more education and more training to prepare for the better future God has for us. It takes courage to step out of our comfort zone. God, however, always takes us out of our comfort zones. He always sets before us a challenge to do more, be more, and take on more. He gives us a challenge that requires us to trust Him and then to act on our faith. He does not allow us to settle for less.
Stand up and step forward with boldness, love, wisdom, and kindness. Your heavenly Father has loaded you with potential and promise. He has given you a tremendous inheritance in Christ Jesus. Live your life in pursuit of the dream God has put in your life—a dream only you can pursue and only you can fulfill. Refuse to live beneath your covenant privileges. Rip off the limitations, challenge life, and it will change.
