Undeserved Grace & Access

"As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet:
“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.
Every valley shall be filled in,
every mountain and hill made low.
The crooked roads shall become straight,
the rough ways smooth."
(Isaiah 3:4-5 NIV)

John the Baptist came declaring a message of the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins in order to prepare the way of the Lord. To “repent” means to think differently or afterwards; to reconsider. It’s a call forward into the things of God.

The Lord’s intentions are that you are filled and lifted up before His return. However, before we will ever be prepared for the Lord Jesus, the “mountains” of our pride and self must come down.

Only to the degree that we become “valleys” can we expect to be filled up. In preparation for Christ, God placed John the Baptist in the Jordan Valley – the lowest place in the world. It is significant that the Lord began His greatest work in the lowest place. True repentance requires a lowering of the soul before God.

For all those that went down low, you were being “prepared” for his presence. All those that God will empower will pass through a valley of lowliness.

To the humble, God will give His grace. Grace is the only way we can see change.
Grace is God’s favor.

"So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.

“What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”"
Zechariah 4:6-7

Here God told Zerrubbabel he would shout GRACE, GRACE to the mountain. The word “Grace” used here means “favor!"

God is making a way out of hard places, difficulties as you declare… “GRACE, GRACE”!
God is opening a door and making a way where there seems to be no way.

"Your ways, God, are holy.
What god is as great as our God?
You are the God who performs miracles;
you display your power among the peoples.
With your mighty arm you redeemed your people,
the descendants of Jacob and Joseph."
Psalm 77:13-15

His grace – His FAVOR! – is coming to bring change.. even to hard places! Is anything too hard for God? Change starts in individuals with the fear or reverence of the LORD. Change comes to those who have experienced true repentance and leaving behind of old things, and are walking in the “new” things right now. God has more new things for you – He is up to something!
God’s favor is undeserved grace and access.
