3 Steps to Break the Curse

Your mouth gives expression to what you think, feel and want. Further, our words are a result of who we believe we are! This can work for us …or against us.

“Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of."
Matthew 12:33-34

Abundance”…What does Jesus mean by “abundance?” He means “the surplus.”

It is the build up and overflow of whatever is in abundance in your heart. WHAT IS IN YOU, WILL EVENTUALLY COME OUT! Whatever comes out of your mouth – that is what is in your heart in abundance. God’s revelation is never a condemnation. He wants us to confront what He identifies in our life! On the positive side, your world is framed by the words of your mouth. Hebrews 11:3 tells us that the “worlds were framed by the word of God.” If creation would have remained in the heart of God …and never proceeded out of the mouth of God, there would be no world today. Say what you want, not what you see!

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.” GEN. 1:1-3

In this verse, we see that God SAID the opposite of what he SAW. HE SAW DARKNESS ….HE SAID, “Let there be light.” HE SAW CHAOS… HE SAID “ORDER.” HE SAW EMPTINESS – HE SPOKE FULLNESS.
Your future is framed by what you say, not what you see. God never identifies an area we have to change without giving us the tools to confront these areas.

Three Steps to Breaking the Curse

1.
One of the first steps to individual, family or national cleansing is to confess that iniquity:
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (1 John 1:9-10)

Look at Daniel as an example. Daniel goes into a time of fasting, prayer and confession: “And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments; We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land….” (Dan 9:4-6 KJV)

The Bible clearly says Daniel was a very godly man who prayed 3 x’s a day. He was called the “beloved of the Lord”. Why did he include himself as being guilty of the national iniquity? Because he understood the mystery of iniquity – the sins that Father had passed from generation to future generations!

2.
Secondly, after confessing the iniquity – whether it was on behalf of an ancestor, yourself, the entire nation, or your immediate family, you revoke it, renounce it, and repent of it. Put it under the blood of Jesus!

3.
Lastly, continually speak the Word of God over that area of your life or your family’s life and begin to confess that over your family or yourself. You may have to do this repeatedly until you feel something change and when you see the cycle of events come into alignment with the Word of God.
All three steps are vital, but it is imperative that you latch on to your scripture with the mighty grip of a warrior breaking chains and speak it over your life with persistence.
You must speak the scripture you are claiming over your life until you see and feel this thing break! Romans 10:10 says, “…and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” The Word of God shows us that WORDS are a main vehicle of transferring either blessing or cursing. Our mouths give expression to what we think, feel and want. Further, our words are a result of who we believe we are!! This can work for us …or against us – it all depends on us.

WHAT IS IN YOU, WILL EVENTUALLY COME OUT! Whatever comes out of your mouth is what is in your heart in abundance. You can’t conquer what you don’t confront, and you can’t confront what you don’t identify. God will identify the negative cycles of generational cursing in our lives. He gives us power to confront and conquer these curses through using our mouths! Use your words as a powerful tool for blessing, and renounce any agreement with Satan’s words over yourself and others today. Activate your power in Christ by breaking any generational curses, repenting of any generational sins, revoking their influence, and coming into alignment with His Word!
